As a parent living in a modern era, you have the privileged ability to enable your kids to become amazing human beings who look, feel and perform with optimized bodies and minds.

But unfortunately, it’s very easy to make parenting mistakes that create a host of issues in your kids, including immune system weakness, low IQ, stunted growth, obesity, depression, attention deficit disorder and other frustrating problems that society now accept as all-too-common.

As you may know, I have twin boys.

Incidentally, my friend Ari Meisel (who originally appeared on the podcast episode “10 Top Tips for Optimizing, Automating and Outsourcing Everything In Your Life.“) is also a father of twins.

So in this podcast episode, Ari and I decided to combine our knowledge of health, fitness, nutrition, biohacking, productivity and parenting to give you our top tips for raising healthy, smart and successful kids.

    Hi Ben,

I’m curious as to what supplements you give your kids, especially during cold and flu season, to mitigate sickness. I remember hearing you rattle off a list near the end of a recent podcast (including glutathione and collagen) but now can’t find it…

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Graham says:

Hi Ben ,how old was Jessa at pregnancy? My wife is super worried that her fertility days are numbered and she is only 32 .

What are your thoughts on waiting awhile , are we risking a lot to wait a few years?

    Thx Graham

    1. Jessa was 25. The longer you wait, it is indeed true the higher the pregnancy risk…

  3. Gina says:

How do you know which essential oils are safe and effective to give to kids?

    1. Have you listened to this podcast https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2014/10/how-t… really good info in there and Dr. Sarah has been very generous with her personal replies!

  4. Sean says:

Regarding the banana ice cream maker:

    – most juicers (such as the omega brand) come with a ‘blank’ insert, sometimes called a pulveriser. It’s the same function as the banana gadget but you get a juicer and many other things can be done with the pulveriser.

  5. Bryan B says:

    Hi Ben,

What age did you start giving your boys the Natrues Vitality Multi? http://naturalvitality.com/natural-kids-calm-mult…

    1. When they were 2. Did you know it's 50% off right now at https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/?

  6. Laureanna says:

The fetch app is Fetch Personal Buying Assistant on iTunes. It's at buywithfetch.com not Fetchapp.com, which is what you listed in the show notes.

Nice show, even if my kids are 28 and 30.

    1. Thanks! I will fix the link.

  7. Ed says:

Ben, would you advise giving my 10- and 12-year-old daughters supplemental curcumin?

    1. Curcumin is safe for that age, yes. But I would be hesitant as to why they would have the amount of inflammation necessary to go above and beyond simple use of turmeric as a whole food supplement in cooking.

  8. Anitpodean says:

G'day Ben, great podcast. My son has just finished a course of antibiotics (omoxicillin), what can I do now to help his gut recover? He's happy and healthy but obviously I'd like to see him performing optimally. Are there any good 'kids specific' probiotics or any particular fermented foods that are easy to give kids? Cheers.

I have emailed you and sent a voice message with no response from you yet. Can you please tell me if the Super human decoder is the same as a Qlink necklace?

    1. we emailed you awhile ago. There is no issue with wearing both of the bracelets, as they act in two completely different and non-interfering ways. But as you can read at http://www.SuperhumanEncoder.com the two are far different….

Loved this podcast! I have an 8 month old daughter that I bring with me to the garage every morning to workout as she jumps around in her jumper. I focus on the compound lifts and always incorporate burpees and kettle bell swings for conditioning finishers. I can't wait to get mini versions for her to use if she wants once she's older!

Right now, I walk with her by wearing her in a baby carrier, but once she can walk, I think a weight vest and elevation training mask would be perfect. Do you have any recommended brands for the vest and/or mask? Keep up the great info, I'll be ready to listen!

Great, thank you! This is the mask I was checking out, and now it's on the way to my house. As a stay-at-home dad, the vest will have to wait until I save some extra cash, but I plan on getting that as well.

  11. Dave says:

This is great information. I love the recipes and other info. You can have your kids mow the grass;). Do you have any podcasts on making a house of pain, home gym at home for kids and adults? Thanks!

    1. I go a little bit into my home gym for kids in this book: https://greenfieldfitnesssystems.com/product/10-wa…
