For the past 4 days, I’ve been living in the Rocky Mountain National Park – at above 9000 feet altitude in the depths of the Colorado wilderness. During each of those days, I took a 15-30 minute icy cold plunge into the big mountain lake…

  1. You might consider doing some more work on your website.

    While the overall design and information is excellent, it takes an excessive amount of time to load. It stutters while (I think) embedded links to social media sites are loading.

    It's annoying because one can start reading an article like this one and all of a sudden the page reformats and one is thrown back to the top of the page.

    It's a shame because this detracts from the otherwise high quality feel of the site.

    I mean this constructively, but from all the sites I use this is perhaps the worst from this loading performance aspect.

    Keep up the good work and thanks for all the information!

    (P.S: I use Chrome, so I would doubt this is a browser issue)

  2. This is so cool. I appreciate what you guys mentioned about the appetite.

    I was curious about if you stack Tian Chi, Cold thermogenesis, and intermittent fasting in the mornings. From everything I have seen on your site and in the podcasts, it seems like this is your routine. Do you recommend that? Would you recommend adding in some of the appetite control recommendations you have like spirulina or coconut oil?

  3. An interesting subject to discuss, I must admit. I've never heard about the cold having such an effect on human body as getting slimmer. But for girls who have read this article, do not be so fanatic about this news, as it can have not good concequences for your health ;)

  4. I just listened to this during a long work trip on the road and this may explain why I seem to get leaner in the winter. I live at 8500' in the mountains and train outside no matter what the weather. Running, riding, snowshoe, CX ski, anything I can do to not be inside. But I've always found it strange how my body does the opposite of what many others do. Seems most people drop some weight in the summer and put it back on in the winter whereas I seem to have the opposite occur. This thermogenesis explanation seems to make the most sense.

  5. I don't understand any practical ways of using cold thermogenisis. Instead of soaking my face in water and getting in a ice cold tub of 50 degrees, could i just use a fan and put ice on myself lying down to the "metabolic" and "rocovery" effect? Will a fan make it so that I will be cooler and not have to worry about getting my house to 65 degrees F? Also will I still get the cold thermogenis befifits even though I am not shivering or do I have goosbumps to get the effect?

      1. This did not answer my question about the fan. Can I just fan myself while I sleep to get results or would it be recommended to follow the Kack Cruise protocol?
