I want to thank you for the simple but powerful suggestion to chew your food thoroughly. After listening to this podcast, I decided to give it a try, and I'm amazed at the difference it has made. Instead of snarfing down my food and wondering why I'm hungry all the time, I'm now taking time when I eat to chew my food and really enjoy it. And, voila!, I actually get to the point where I feel as if I've eaten enough. And I'm not hungry all the time. Chewing one's food thoroughly should be at the top of everyone's list when it comes to weight loss tips!

I'm loving this new podcast! I've been a listener of BGF for a long time now and enjoy listening during my morning runs. It's great to work the mind & body at the same time!

    Question,
How do I get acces to older podcast via ITunes. I can only see the last 19 podcast. Would like to listen to podcast 56.

    Thanks

    1. iTunes is funny like that. They only carry a certain number of posts. So you can A) go to https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/category/podc… and just scroll through all the podcasts or B) do a search at https://bengreenfieldfitness.com for the specific podcast number you\’re looking for!

      1. Denis says:

Yes, but how can I bring them in my IPod. Sorry, not that great with technology… It's not a problem with recent podcast. Thanks

        1. Download from https://bengreenfieldfitness.com (just use download button), then open the folder you downloaded it to, and drag and drop it into your iPod. Make sense?

you guys are adorable, gross. I wanted to think of you both only as total bada$$es. ha.
glad to hear you confirming the chewing. two interesting references to this: 1) Tim Van Orden, the runningraw vegan guy talks about chewing even his green smoothies, sort of what you mentioned about a saltine tasting sweet, he references chewing your mouthful of smoothie until the flavor changes so you know digestion has started and also so you feel fuller from a beverage 2) this topic always reminds me of that old adage/idea of chewing your food 100 times, it's actually called "fletcherising" your food and not to be crass but they said Fletcher's poop didn't smell! weird.

Great show. Thank you so much for sharing all this information. I have been diagnosed with IBS last year and I have tried special enzymes, visited alternative medicine doctors and it was not until I have really listen to my body and decided to chew my food. It has changed how I feel almost instantly. I still might slip but your show reminded me how I am going to eat from now on. I love green smoothies and have invested in an awesome blender (best kitchen investment ever). thank you for an amazing work and BTW…I am going to do my first Olympic Tri this coming weekend.

Great show Ben and Jenna! The chewing topic isn't sexy but so important. As you point out, it can help digestion and fat loss. Interesting Jenna California experiment. I'll try the 25-chew experiment at dinner tonight. I do seem to enjoy my food more when I take my time to savor the tastes and flavors. Great content and I enjoy hearing you both. Is BGF for Kids coming soon when the twins can talk?

    1. It's Jessa, but close! BGF for kids…maybe someday. For now, try the Sesame Street podcast.
